When can I apply?
You will be able to apply to take long service leave once you have recorded more than 120 Months of service (equivalent to 10 years). We will let you know when this happens, and you will be able to check how close you are at any point by logging in to your Worker Portal to see the number of Months of service you have recorded.
How much leave can I take?
You don't have to take your entitlements all at once, they just need to be claimed in whole days with a minimum of 1 week (7 days) at a time. Once you have accrued your 13 weeks of leave, it doesn't end there either - for each 12 Months you work thereafter, you'll receive a further 1.3 weeks of leave.
How much will I be paid?
Your payment will be made up of two different components - the leave accrued as an employee and the leave accrued as a Working Director.
We will use your earliest entitlement first (which means if you apply to take your long service leave in multiple periods, in many cases you will be paid the leave accrued as an employee before the leave accrued as a Working Director).

How do I apply?
To make a claim, please log into your Worker Portal and complete the form online.
When will I be paid?
We will pay you in advance for your whole period of leave. The Portable Long Service Leave Act 2024 requires your claim to be lodged at least 2 months prior to your leave, so please make sure you lodge well in advance. Provided we have all the necessary information, we'll make your payment the week before your leave starts.
If you've submitted a request for a cash-out payment, your payment will be made as soon as practicable. Please allow at least 3 weeks for processing these requests.
