Online Long Service Leave claims now need to be submitted via the Worker Portal

Great news for Workers - Long Service Leave (LSL) claims have gone digital.

We have transitioned to a new process where LSL claims must be submitted online through the Worker Portal. This change makes lodging claims quicker and easier.

Claims received using the old method will no longer be accepted.

What this means for you

  • You can submit claims directly in the Worker Portal from anywhere, anytime

  • You can upload supporting documents securely

  • You can track your claim status from submission to payment

For employers:
You'll receive notifications when workers submit claims for your review. Please approve claims and provide required details through your Employer Portal – we'll send you an email when claims are ready for action.

Note: The 3-week processing timeline starts once you've approved the claim and provided all details.

For workers:
Please check your leave balances carefully in the Worker Portal. If you notice anything that looks incorrect, please speak with your employer first, as they may be able to help confirm your balance details.

For workers who have previously submitted a claim using the manual form process, there may be some temporary balance discrepancies while records are updated.

Please also note that some workers who have not yet accessed their Worker Portal will need to obtain new access links before they can log in and submit a claim. If this applies, please follow the instructions on our website or contact our support team for assistance.
