We administer the Portable Long Service Leave for the South Australian community services sector.
You will be required to register as an employer if you employ one or more workers who are providing community services or supporting the provision of community services. More information about eligibility can be found on our website here.
Employer Registration
If you are employing eligible workers now the Portable Long Service Leave scheme has commenced, you must register online within 28 days. Using the link from our website, Employers will fill in an online registration form using details such as:
- Your ABN
- Trading/Business Name
- Website
- Number of employees
- Address details
- Contact information
You'll also need to provide some information around the community services your business provides.
Employer Registration Guide
You can also refer to the Employer Registration Guide for instructions on how to register, including what information you need and how registration works during the transition period.
Next Steps
After you've submitted your completed Employer registration form, it'll come through to our team for review. We'll be in touch with you to confirm any additional details we might need, and we'll provide further advice on what will happen after we activate your account. We'll work with you to ensure you have the right support to get your account up to date and make your first Employer Return lodgement a success.
Please allow at least two weeks for us to review your Employer registration form after submission. Whilst we will do our best to ensure each application is assessed within this timeframe, we appreciate your patience during the first few months as we transition into the Portable Long Service Leave scheme.
After their registration has been approved, Employers will need to add their eligible workers to their Employer Portal before 31 December 2025, ready for the first return lodgement by 21 January 2026.
